Does Paul read his email?
I do. I employ Lloyd the Terse, a former viking and one time carney, to cull through my email removing any rude observations, links to porn sites, and anything else Lloyd deems unsatisfactory. The rest is all read and answered by me.
How do I get an agent?
This, along with many other queries, is answered here in the Lounge.
Where do you get your ideas?
I have a muse. He is a large black Newfoundland dog. I never know when he’s going to show up or how long he’s going to stay. He is a talking dog, but tends toward lax grammar. Check out the Lounge for more axioms on writing.
Are you ever going to write a book?
What are you, my mother? Yes... I’m working on it right now. Get off my back.
What is Michael Connelly really like?
He's a rock star and taller than he wants you to know. Not Harlan Coben tall, but tall nonetheless.
What’s a typical day like for you?
Click on A day in the life of a television writer.
Who are your favorite authors?
Graham Greene made me want to be a writer. Flannery O'Conner, Raymond Chandler, John Steinbeck, John D. MacDonald, James M. Cain and Blake Edwards. Contemporaries that inspire me are David Chase, Robert Benton, Steve Zaillian, the Hall sisters, the Coen Brothers, James Lee Burke, the list goes on.
Where can I get good tortilla soup in LA?
